Mit knapp 50.000 Installationen ist Zen eindeutig das beliebteste und am häufigsten eingesetzte Theme für Drupal. Gestern wurde die langersehnte, finale Version für Drupal 7 freigegeben: http://drupal.org/project/zen

It’s time for another quarterly update on what’s happening in the Documentation Team—a lot has been going on since our last update (December 24, 2010), and we’d like to take this time to review the past quarter, talk a bit about the future, and let you know how to get involved! Seit gut einem Jahr versuchen wir mit dem Drupal Magazin ein Online-Magazin für die deutschsprachige Drupal Community zu etablieren.
Neben aktuellen News und kleineren Tipps & Tricks findet man dort auch umfangreichere Tutorials. Allerdings nicht in ausreichender Menge.
Deshalb suchen wir Autoren und könnten für gelungene Beiträge auch kleinere Honorare bezahlen.

The IT Dashboard is a management tool for the United States federal government CIOs to use in overseeing their IT spending. To support transparency and open government initiatives, Federal decision makers also chose to make the IT Dashboard available to the general public. In the IT Dashboard, members of the public can view the same data about performance that government officials use.

ING using Drupal

You know when a piece of software is mature when it starts being adopted by financial services organizations. ING Financial Services recently moved a number of sites from Oracle Stellent to Drupal. Among these sites are http://ing.us, the main portal for their US market. The driver behind this migration was to move to a platform that was more dynamic and provided faster time to market.

Investor.gov using Drupal

Investor.gov recently switched to Drupal from WordPress. The site houses a lot of information for investors.

The new investor.gov is a good looking site that also seems to be 508 compliant (for accessibility). The site is easy to use, making it easy for users to get the information they need without being overwhelmed.

All in all, the site is great example of how governments can leverage Drupal to create beautiful and accessible sites. Nice work SEC!
